November Delta ![]()
Being one of the orginal members and now the Secretary and
treasurer of the Norwich Dragon C.B. & D.X. Club, we are trying to keep the good will
and friendship of the club alive through all outlets where possible, now that C.B. in
England is going into decline, our direction is now towards the internet.
My
name is "David" (N.D. 45) is my membership number of the Norwich
Dragon Club (November Delta), Email nd45@david45.worldonline.co.uk
any other communication can go through >> P.O.Box 155, Norwich, NR5 8UU, U.K.
Our
Membership in the past has been confined mostly to Great Britain, but with the many
requested from around the world we are now accepting many more other countries into our
little group.
Our
contact groups extend to Fishing ( River, Lake and Sea), Computer Groups ( P.C. and Amiga
), Wine& Beer making, Local Art, Local History, Photography, interests and
hobbies amongst our members are expanding all the time.

The Norwich Dragon C.B. & D.X. Club Magazine has been in production since the club first started up back in the late 1980s/90s, only in a small way at first with just sending out the odd A4 news sheet. Over the years we have produced a small compact club magazine which has gathered in better quality and popularity plus trying to cover not only C.B. but all and any of our members hobbies or pastimes. As to date we have just to issued the Spring Review Issue No 34. The Magazine is sent by post to all members four times a year.
It has only been this last six month that the club magazines have
been produced on a P.C., before that every item of printed matter the club produced for
its membership was on a Amiga computer, (except the early days of a typewriter and pasting
glue.)
We first started getting to grips with the production of a recognisable magazine from the
Amiga 600 upgraded to 2meg and a 9 pin dot-matrix printer, the next step was the
Amiga 1200 with a 24 pin colour printer which was upgraded as far as we could go. By time
we converted to a P.C. we had changed to the 4200 coloured Cannon Bubble Jet, now this was
a big improvement and production of the club magazine became much easier for everyone, but
hard and soft ware became very expensive for the Amiga and trying catch up to the P.C. was
a no-go.
